Christian McCaffrey Stopped Fiancée Olivia Culpo From Buying Super Bowl VIP Suite

Christian McCaffrey has revealed that he had to stop his girlfriend, Olivia Culpo, from buying a VIP suite for his mother for the Super Bowl.

It comes after Culpo claimed that she bought Christian’s mom, Lisa McCaffrey, a VIP suite to comfortably watch him play at the Super Bowl.

Lisa had previously said she couldn’t “afford” the suite and instead negotiated for “an area” before her soon-to-be daughter-in-law came to the rescue.

In a recent interview with Extra TV, the 49ers star running back said that he had to stop his fiancée from buying a luxurious VIP suite that would have afforded his mom a chance to comfortably watch him play at the Super Bowl LVIII.

The 27-year-old NFL star noted that he “had to nix” Culpo from buying the suites because he didn’t like anyone paying to watch him play.

“She tried to, but I will not let anybody pay to watch me play,” Christian told the news outlet when asked if Culpo had indeed tried to buy the suite.

Christian’s mom had previously shared on her “Your Mom” podcast Friday that she couldn’t afford to buy the suite because of its extravagant price, adding that she instead negotiated “an area,” but doesn’t “understand exactly what it is.”

“Part of the problem is I wanted eight tickets together,” Lisa stated on her podcast. “I felt strongly about everyone being together.”

“So anyway, long story short, they’re outrageously expensive, they’re stupidly expensive, I don’t know if it’s the Taylor Swift factor if it’s the first time in Vegas factor, there’s so much going on,” she added.

Hours after Lisa’s revelation about her inability to get a VIP suite to watch her son’s big game, the actress stepped in to show how much of a good daughter-in-law she’ll make.

It came after Matt Ampolsky, the CEO of Confirmed360, a company that supplies access to “coveted events,” shared Lisa’s post on his Instagram Story, asking Culpo to “please correct them.”

Culpo then shared the post on her own Instagram story and jokingly captioned it “fake news!” as she added, “Happy birthday Lisa I bought you a suite,” and tagged Confirmed360 in the post.

Lisa then reposted Culpo’s post on her Instagram story with a prayer emoji and confetti.

Olivia Culpo Is In Charge Of Their Wedding Plans

Elsewhere in his interview with Extra TV, Christian weighed in on his wedding plans with the actress, revealing that she has been “steering the ship” with her “unbelievable” style.

“Well, she’s done a hell of a job,” he said of Culpo. “She’s definitely steering the ship when it comes to anything regarding the wedding as of now, but I give my input when needed, but obviously her style is unbelievable, and everything that that she wants I also like, so but it’s going really well…”

The football star continued, “I’m so thankful that I have someone like her who’s not just supporting me the way she is but also handling all stuff like that and allowing me to do what I love in the moment while she’s still working on her career as well… It’s been going really well.”
