Brittany Mahomes is ready for her close up and reminding everyone that she’s setting herself up for a bigger stage than just the NFL season. And now, there’s someone helping to boost her profile during a very important week in football.
On Thursday, Sports Illustrated shared on Instagram that she’s set to make her debut in the 2024 Swimsuit Issue — just in time for the magazine’s 60th anniversary issue in May. As the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Brittany is used to the spotlight, but this sets up outside of her husband’s career.

MJ Day, the editor of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, explained why they chose the sometimes-controversial public figure to be their “newest 2024 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie.” The statement reads, “Owner of the Kansas City Current NWSL team, former pro athlete, wife and mother, Brittany emerges as the epitome of a modern-day powerhouse. Founder of the world’s first ever dedicated stadium for women’s sports, Brittany’s journey has surpassed all expectations, inspiring others with her tenacity and unyielding determination.”
Let’s just say that Brittany’s photoshoot does not disappoint — and she’ proves that she’s all-in when it comes to wearing Kansas City Chiefs red. The video clip shows of a variety of revealing bikinis and one-piece swimsuits that flaunt her athletic shape. From her toned abs to her gorgeous curves, there is no doubt that fitness is a big part of the Mahomes household.
She seemed thrilled at the opportunity, telling the magazine, “I never in my wildest dreams thought this would happen.” Her confidence shined through in the interview because she described herself as “unapologetically always myself in any setting,” which might irk some critics while empowering her supporters. That’s why Brittany has some sound advice for anyone who is afraid to be authentic. “People are going to love you or hate you,” she advised. “But finding your values and what makes you ‘you’ to be the best version of yourself is what really matters.” A new Sports Illustrated Swimsuit star is born!
