Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have reportedly hit another snag in their marriage, and it has everything to do with Lopez’s new projects.
Insiders told the Heat that Affleck was reportedly “scared” that JLo’s new film, This is Me…Now, would ruin his career, and apparently that fear hasn’t dissipated.

“There is a very real risk that this film will not get the reaction she’s expecting. Ben’s been complaining to friends this could end up being Gigli 2.0,” they said. “It will be especially embarrassing for him considering the career that he’s built up and how seriously he takes his projects. [He’s] scared he’s made a big mistake getting involved.”

This is the second project they’ve worked on together, and since Gigli was so panned by critics, it seems as though Affleck has been worried about the same treatment, and it allegedly caused problems in their marriage.
The 65-minute musical was released on Feb 16, 2024, and has received some seriously mixed reviews. While it was dubbed “worst movie of the century” by The Wall Street Journal, the reviews are actually more positive on Rotten Tomatoes, with a 74 percent reviewer Tomatometer.

Lopez and Affleck were together from 2002 to 2004 after meeting on the set of Gigli. A few years later, they called off their engagement. But they rekindled their romance in 2021, and they tied the knot a year later.
